Multi-brand domain email planning
If you run more than one brand, give each brand its own domain for mail. Keep one ops workspace so you are not juggling five providers — and make sure every outbound message uses that brand’s authenticated domain.
A simple planning model
- One Unbox account for the company (or agency).
- One verified domain per brand.
- Personal mailboxes for founders who need a public identity.
- Shared queues for support@, hello@, and sales@ that several people cover.
What to avoid
Do not send Brand B mail from Brand A’s Google Workspace tenant with a rewritten From. Recipients and spam filters treat that as risky.
Do not share one password for a brand mailbox across five people. Use shared queues with individual Unbox IDs so you can see who claimed a thread.
Where Unbox fits
Unbox is for teams that need domain mail and shared queues without buying a full productivity suite per seat. Domains, DNS checks, and send identity stay in one dashboard.
Common questions
- Should agencies put client domains on one account?
- Only when your contract and privacy model allow it. Many agencies use one Unbox workspace per client, or separate domains under clear ownership rules.
